What is the Order Marketing feature?

Order Marketing lets you (the seller) reach out to a buyer you've already worked with to encourage more business, directly from an order. It offers two tools: Up-sell and Cross-sell, each sending a one-click email to the buyer on your behalf.

Where do I find it?

• Go to Manage Orders (Vendor Dashboard), find the order you want to market from.
• Then, find "Order Marketing" button under the "Actions" column. 
• Click the Order Marketing icon/button next to it. You can also go directly to https://app.elancemarket.com/order/marketing?order_id={order_id}.

What is Up-sell and when should I use it?

Up-sell emails the buyer of a past order to let them know you're ready to take on more of the same work. Use it when a buyer seemed happy with a delivered service and might need it again (e.g., recurring content, monthly design work, repeat batches).

• The email tells the buyer you delivered their service and are available for more of the same.
• It includes a button linking straight to the service page so they can place a new order.

What is Cross-sell and when should I use it?

Cross-sell emails the buyer to recommend a different service you offer, based on the order they placed with you. Use it when you believe a past buyer would benefit from another one of your services (e.g., a buyer who ordered logo design might also want brand guidelines).

• You pick which of your other active services to recommend from a dropdown.
• The email highlights that service and links directly to it.
